By commissioning me for custom artwork, you are agreeing to the terms of service outlined below:General disclaimers
- I reserve the right to decline any commission if the subject matter does not align with the projects I am willing to undertake.
- Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated; if it occurs, your commission will be cancelled. If I cancel your commission due to disrespectful behavior, you will receive a refund of your payment minus a 50% fee, which covers time and resources already spent on your project.Payment and cancellation
- The prices listed are base rates. Final pricing may rise with added requirements and complexity. There is an optional rush fee for tight deadlines. You will know the final price before the artwork is started.
- Payment is made via PayPal invoices in USD only. A 25% deposit is required before work begins. After you approve the sketch, I will request the remaining balance before completing your artwork.
- If you need to cancel your commission after paying the deposit but before the sketch has been approved, you are eligible for a full refund of your deposit. Once the sketch has been approved, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
- If I am unable to complete the commission due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund of any payments made, except for the PayPal transaction fee. This refund is only applicable if the artwork has not been completed and delivered.
- Filing a chargeback after artwork approval is not permitted.Client obligations
- You may request updates anytime. I usually send updates at sketch, lineart, flat colors, and final review stages.
- Please provide clear visual references. If a watermark covers important character parts, you may be asked for clarification. A clear reference helps me avoid mistakes and finish the artwork more efficiently.
- You are expected to respond in a timely manner. If something comes up that will delay your reply, please let me know. Without a response, I may not be able to move forward.Process
- Resolution is 2480x3508 pixels at 300 ppi unless otherwise stated. You may request other resolutions.
- When I start, I will send you progress images of the sketch for your review. You can request revisions before I continue. Once you confirm the sketch, the remaining payment is required.
- When finished, I will send the artwork for final approval. You may request unlimited minor revisions.
- Major revisions added after the sketch has been approved will incur additional fees. If I make mistakes in character design, I will fix them at any stage free of charge, even after the final check.
- I will determine what constitutes minor or major revisions and strive to be fair and transparent throughout.
- After you accept the finalized artwork, I will email you watermarked JPG and PNG files. I will not deliver physical products unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.Copyright and usage
- I am the artist and retain rights to your commissioned work. I may post your artwork on social media or my portfolio, unless you request otherwise. I will always credit the character's owner.
- You may repost and share the artwork if you credit me. Credit me by tagging my account or writing my username (@sadbluesami) when posting.
- Commissions are for personal use unless agreed otherwise. You can use the artwork as profile pictures or banners, but not for commercial use.
- For commercial use, you must buy the rights from me at an additional 100% of the original price. Credit is required even if you purchase commercial rights.
- Never remove or crop out the watermark when using the artwork for personal purposes. For commercial use, we can discuss removing the watermark with permission.
- Do not use the artwork in NFTs, cryptocurrency, or AI technology.
You may not claim the artwork as your own.
